Bolotov Igor

A distinguished Soviet-era painter known for his mastery of post-impressionist and surrealist techniques. His works often explore nature, mythology, and human introspection through richly textured landscapes and symbolic imagery. Active in both Russian and international art circles since the 1980s, he has contributed significantly to contemporary visual culture through his unique blend of realism and abstraction.

Biography

Born 1958 in Leningrad, Russia; painter and watercolourist.

Education

1977graduated from Ioganson art college
1984graduated I.E. Repin Institute for Painting, Sculpture and Architecture, studio of easel painting.
1991Entered the St. Petersburg Union of Artists

Career

Since 2013he teaches at the Repin Institute.
2016elected as a member of the Petrovsky Academy of Sciences and Arts.

Bolotov's works are: in the National Mexican Museum of Watercolor (Mexico City), in the Museum of History of St. Petersburg (Peter and Paul Fortress), in the Harbin Art Museum of Russian Painting "Spring Wind" (PRC, Harbin), in Russian and foreign collections.
