About this work
Two nude figures stand close together, arms crossed behind each other's necks in a tight embrace, their bodies turned so that most of the view is from behind and the side. Long curling hair falls over one figure's shoulder while the other's head tilts toward it, their legs and feet planted firmly on the bare paper below.
The ink is built from fluid pen contours softened by brushed grey washes along the spine and thighs, with a scatter of fine droplets to the right balancing the composition. The economy of line and the closed, circular pose of the embrace give the drawing a quiet, grounded intensity.
