Series "Artist and model"

Two nude bodies merge into a single entangled mass: a bearded figure bends forward while a second figure leans back, chin propped on raised fingers, their torsos and limbs interlocking at the center of the sheet. A dense tangle of scratchy, almost violent ink marks obscures where the figures meet, while bare legs and feet splay outward toward the bottom edge.

Executed entirely in black Indian ink on white paper, the drawing combines a loose, unbroken contour line with dry scribbled passages and scattered spatter pooling near the signature. The raw, unfinished economy of means gives the sheet a nervous, expressionist energy.
