About this work
Two dark, arched openings sit side by side beneath a girdered overpass or bridge structure, all rendered so softly that edges dissolve into the surrounding haze. A narrow gap of pale light separates the two arches, and a faint angular roof shape appears at upper right.
The palette is reduced almost to monochrome, grey-blues and off-whites bleeding into one another with no sharp line anywhere in the canvas. This extreme softening turns architecture into pure tonal mass, as if seen through fog or out of focus. The mood is quiet and unsettled, hovering between recognition and abstraction.
