About this work
Flat, interlocking shapes cover the canvas without resolving into a single legible scene: a solid black rectangular block sits upper center like a tower or chimney, a bright yellow wedge and rectangle anchor the lower portion as if a ramp or ledge, and scattered ovals, dashes and dotted rows drift across the cream ground.
Warm white and pale yellow dominate, set off by black and grey blocks and dry, scratchy pastel lines over a thin acrylic wash. The restless scatter of marks and abrupt shifts in scale give the picture a nervous, unsettled energy that suggests movement or gusting air rather than any single form.
