"Province. Etching"

Figures gather in a rural setting: at left a man stands beneath overhanging branches, a stick or broom in hand, gesturing toward the group. Nearby a seated figure raises a hand, and further right two more figures sit close together near a small house crowned with a bright star above its roofline.

Thin, rapid, scratchy etched lines and light cross-hatching leave much of the paper bare, giving the print a faint, almost transparent quality. The sparse mark-making and pale grey tone create a hazy, dreamlike sense of half-remembered rural life.
