Panina street

In the lower left, a much larger portrait head of a heavy-set, weathered man in three-quarter view intrudes on the townscape, beside a handwritten street name.

Confident pen contours define the buildings and foliage, filled with loose grey-green and ochre washes while the sky is left bare, letting line carry the drawing.
