Carnival

The lower left is filled with dense, ruffled shapes in white, pink and deep blue, layered like petals, pom-poms or gathered fabric, sitting atop a pale golden ground. Above and to the right, faint arched and vertical lines suggest architecture seen through haze, while scattered points of pink, violet and white read as confetti or distant lights drifting across the upper corner.

Paint is applied thickly and worked wet-into-wet, blending gold, pink, blue and violet into soft, atmospheric transitions with almost no hard edges. Small flecks of pure white and rose sit like sparks over the muted ground. Without any clear figure, the surface reads as a glowing memory of costume and celebration rather than a literal scene.
