About this work
A single trunk-like form rises from the bottom edge and fans outward into a web of fine radiating branches, dusted with soft pink blossoms or frost at the center, set against a pale, snow-covered ground that fades toward white at the edges.
The palette stays almost monochrome - chalky white, blush pink and cool grey - built up in thick, scraped impasto with scratched linear marks. Diffused, shadowless light gives the surface a hushed, wintry stillness.
