About this work
The canvas is dominated by a rippling water surface into which warm light and dark silhouettes of buildings or moorings dissolve; faint vertical shapes along the upper edges hint at reflected facades and a boat's hull, though no single form stays fully legible.
Built from thick, dragged strokes of orange, gold, deep red, and near-black green worked wet-into-wet, the colors bleed and streak like light breaking on moving water. The handling stays loose and gestural throughout, favoring shimmer and atmosphere over architectural detail.
