A row of tall mooring poles, several banded in red and white stripes, rises from a canal beside dark, low gondola-like boats moored at the water's edge. Buildings and further poles dissolve into soft haze in the middle distance, with faint touches of warm light suggesting sun breaking through overcast water and sky.
