About this work
Loose, agitated etched lines build a dark, crouching figure with elongated, curved legs at the center of the sheet, its head bowed toward a paler, reclining face turned upward on the right, framed by tangled hair; loosely sketched nude forms and a raised arm emerge from the surrounding scribble, while small spiral doodles cluster along the bottom edge and a dense black mass fills the upper left corner.
Worked entirely in scratchy, overlapping ink lines with little smooth modeling, the print builds its imagery from accumulated hatching rather than clean contour, leaving many shapes ambiguous and half-formed. The restless linework and dark, encroaching masses set against small pale voids give the scene an unsettled, dreamlike tension.
