About this work
An elevated vantage point looks out across row upon row of flat and pitched rooftops, chimneys, and a single dark lamppost rising in the middle ground. Two domed structures break the skyline, a pale grey dome with a lantern on the left and a smaller green dome further right, set against a hazy, overcast sky.
The palette is almost monochrome, built from chalky whites, warm beige, and soft rose-pink roof tones under a flat grey sky. The paint surface is heavily textured, with ridges and scraped passages describing tiles and brickwork without fine detail.
