About this work
Angular scaffolding-like lines, cross-hatched grids, and torn strips of stenciled Cyrillic lettering are layered over a field divided between pale weathered beige and a heavy block of rust-red at the base, suggesting collapsed structures or ruined signage rather than any legible scene.
The surface is worked with scraped, sanded passages, incised lines, and patches of collage-like texture that read almost like distressed plaster or metal. The restrained palette of ochre, brick-red, and charcoal, combined with the fragmentary, half-erased marks, creates a bleak, ruinous atmosphere without any single readable subject.
