Two tall, indistinct silhouettes stand side by side on a dark textured base, their forms dissolving into vertical drips that read as reflections or wet stone below. Built almost entirely from abstract passages of thick, dragged and dripped oil paint, the palette moves between cool violet-blue and warm ochre-pink, with heavy impasto in the upper sky and thin washes running downward. The loose, non-descriptive handling keeps the two figures ambiguous, giving the whole scene a hazy, atmospheric, dreamlike quality.
