About this work
A hazy open field stretches toward a low horizon, broken by a row of dark, rounded masses that could be haystacks or dense bushes. A pale yellow glow breaks through where the shapes part, and a faint pale track curves from the lower right into the misty middle distance.
The palette is reduced to soft greys, muted blue-green, and warm ochre light, applied in soft blurred strokes with visible paper texture beneath. Forms dissolve into one another under diffused, atmospheric light, giving the whole scene a quiet, hushed stillness suggestive of early morning or dusk mist.
