About this work

A low shoreline of reeds and scrub runs across the middle of the composition, dividing a pale, luminous sky from choppy water in the foreground. No figures or boats are visible; the scene reads as an empty stretch of coast caught in shifting light.

Thick, dragged paint and palette-knife texture build the surface, with whites and creams scumbled over darker greens and blues to suggest mist and moving water. The handling is loose and gestural, giving the seascape a hushed, atmospheric calm.
