About this work
Two horses meet nose to nose at close range, a pale cream-coated animal turning its head toward a black horse whose mane and neck rise just behind. Cropped tightly to their heads and necks, the pair is set against a dense screen of green foliage flecked with pink, yellow and coral, so their tender, affectionate gesture fills nearly the entire canvas.
