About this work
A wide river curves through a hilly landscape seen from an elevated viewpoint, with a wooded headland jutting into the water on the left and a smaller tree-covered spit on the right. Grassy slopes dotted with dark shrubs and a cluster of pines fill the foreground, while a thick bank of white clouds fills most of the sky above.
