About this work
An engraved silver hand-bell, a spiraled conch shell, and a goblet with a twisted stem and wide shallow bowl are arranged across a wooden tabletop. The bell stands upright at left, the shell curls forward at center, and the goblet rises at right, its bowl echoing the shell's open curve.
Fine parallel hatching models each object's metal, shell, and glass surfaces against a dark, faintly rippling teal-green ground streaked with pale scratched highlights. The cool, moody lighting and precise linework lend the arrangement a hushed, almost nocturnal stillness.
