About this work
A large, rounded leaf shape fills the middle of the canvas, its outline traced by a dark, uneven edge and divided by a pale central rib that runs from top to bottom. The surrounding ground dissolves into soft, blurred patches of grey and cream, suggesting foliage or mist behind the leaf.
