About this work
A cramped courtyard is seen from an elevated viewpoint, enclosed by tall apartment buildings in ochre, cream and grey. Bare, snow-laden branches of shrubs and a slender tree cross the foreground, while a narrow tower-like structure with dark window openings rises between the blocks in the middle distance. Fresh snow covers rooftops, ledges and the ground below.
