About this work
Two stacked triangular structures, resembling wooden trestles or scaffolding beams, rise one above the other against a densely patterned backdrop of diamond and cross motifs. Each sloped beam is painted with a colored stripe — teal, red, or blue — along its edge, and thin vertical white lines hang down like strings or wires in front of the whole composition.
The background is built from repeating diamonds in muted pink, tan, and olive, overlaid with fine crosshatched texture and small cross-shaped accents, while a border of red, white, and blue stripes frames the entire sheet. The flat geometric shapes and bright accent colors sit against the softer patterned ground, giving the image a playful, decorative, almost textile-like quality.
