About this work
A slender floor lamp with a pale conical shade supports a burst of spiky green, teal and red foliage in place of a lampshade fringe. Beside it a blue bicycle wheel stands alone on a floor that shifts from a striped, bark-like wall pattern into a dark expanse scattered with small white stars, while a soft grey silhouette floats across the upper background.
Muted teal, grey and cream tones dominate, broken by the plant's saturated reds and greens and the wheel's cobalt blue.
