About this work
A large brass samovar dominates the center of the composition, a white porcelain teapot resting on its crown, with a black lacquered tray behind decorated with painted flowers. Around it stand a dark glass bottle, a red enamel mug, a saucer holding dark berries and a spoon, and a white bowl of pears and citrus, all arranged on a dark wooden table beneath a folk-style print pinned to the wall.
