About this work
A dense cluster of flat and sloped rooftops stretches across the frame, punctuated by a rounded dome, a tall chimney, and scattered water tanks and antennas. The composition is built from overlapping geometric planes, seen from above, with no figures present, only architecture receding toward a pale, featureless horizon.
The palette stays close to cream, ochre, taupe, and charcoal, with the dome rendered in near-black for contrast. Thick, dry brushstrokes build a chalky, textured surface, while soft edges dissolve distant buildings into the flat sky. The effect is quiet and subdued, an austere study of urban geometry rather than a dramatic view.
