About this work

The canvas is left largely bare and cream-colored, with small clusters of dark, angular shapes gathered near the top center and along the lower corners. Thin threads of yellow, blue and orange run between them, along with faint pencil-like scribbles, but no recognizable fruit, stems or branches can be made out anywhere in the composition.

The acrylic is applied thinly and unevenly, leaving raw canvas visible through most of the field, while oil pastel adds small flecks of saturated color over the muted ground. The sparse, scattered marks and wide empty space give the piece an unresolved, note-like quality rather than a legible still life.
