About this work
A massive snow-streaked mountain fills the middle distance, its ridges catching early light while lower slopes fade into blue haze. In the foreground, tall bare poplars and dry brush line a dirt track, with smaller hills and scattered trees stepping back toward the peak.
Cool violet-blue shadows model the mountain's snowfields, set against warm ochre and rust tones in the nearer trees and undergrowth.
