About this work
Two soaring Gothic towers with pierced tracery and a slender green spire dominate the composition, joined by a smaller turret with a steep orange roof and a round clock face. Below, a broad paved square is dotted with small strolling figures, and a couple sits together on a bench in the lower right corner, near a low brick wall and adjoining building with a red roof.
The cathedral is rendered in dense, dark greys and browns that contrast sharply with the pale cream and beige of the sunlit square.
