A golden-hued statue of a man in a long coat, one hand tucked at his side, stands on a granite pedestal in a paved courtyard. Below it a curbed bed holds red flowers and green shrubs, while a yellow trellis fence, a small domed gazebo and striped barriers line the space; a blue flatbed truck is parked at the left edge and dense green foliage rises at the right.

Flat, saturated color blocks - ochre statue, blue truck, pink and blue stripes - sit against an overcast pale sky and dark charcoal pavement, painted with clean outlines and a decorative, almost naive touch. The pairing of a solemn monument with parked vehicles and folding furniture gives the scene a deadpan, playful irony.
