About this work
A row of collapsing wooden and corrugated-metal outbuildings tilts and sags along a low horizon, their roofs askew and walls rusted or bare. A tall wooden utility pole rises at center, its single wire sagging toward the structures, with a smaller shed and a lit doorway visible further right. Dry, pale grass fills the entire foreground.
A flat, colorless sky presses down in soft gray-white, giving even, shadowless light. Muted browns, grays, and rust tones dominate, rendered with fine, dry detail in the peeling wood and corroded metal against the smooth blankness of sky and grass. The scene feels quiet, abandoned, and somber.
