About this work
The composition is non-figurative: a mottled brown-grey ground is crossed by faint scratches and cracks, with a stenciled inscription reading "LFM" near the top and a small pencil numeral in the corner. A torn paper fragment collaged at upper left reveals a lighter patch with a loosely sketched shape.
Built up in silver pencil and mixed media, the surface is rubbed to a dry, powdery sepia finish recalling aged plaster or parchment. Light is diffuse with no clear source, tones staying within warm greys and browns, giving the work a quiet, enigmatic, meditative feel.
