About this work
The canvas shows a broad meadow of tall grass stretching to a low, dark tree line on the horizon. A band of grass seed heads glowing orange and gold crosses the upper third of the field, while the foreground stalks bend in cooler green and khaki tones under an overcast, streaked sky.
