About this work
Mounted fighters in turbans and flowing robes converge around a heavily armored horse or elephant draped in red and gold cloth, its rider brandishing a spear amid a thicket of raised lances. A green flag with a yellow emblem flies above the crowd, while a domed white mausoleum or mosque glows faintly on the horizon behind the melee.
