About this work
A dense field of tall pink and magenta wildflowers, likely fireweed, fills the foreground and middle ground, with patches of white and yellow blooms scattered among the grass at lower left. A tree line closes the horizon, and beyond it a bright blue sky is dotted with soft white clouds.
The palette is built from saturated pinks and violets against fresh greens, applied in loose, textured strokes that suggest individual flower spikes without describing each one.
