About this work
Two rounded, body-like shapes fold into each other near the center of the sheet, their contours looping and doubling back so that limbs and torsos become indistinguishable. A heavily scribbled dark band runs across the top like a canopy or wall, while the lower portion trails off into loose, unfinished strands.
Dense stippled shading gives the central mass a soft, cloud-like volume that contrasts with the wiry contour lines describing it. Because no face or limb resolves clearly, the drawing reads as an abstracted embrace, its mood tense and unresolved rather than descriptive.
