About this work
A narrow street of low, pastel-washed village houses with tiled roofs recedes toward a tall church tower crowned by two green cupolas and a clock face. A bare tree stands at the right edge of the composition, and the cobbled roadway curves away under a wide, cloud-streaked sky.
