Still life with guitar

A guitar, its body split into angular shards, anchors a tabletop arrangement of pomegranates in the upper corner, a wooden pepper mill, a metal coffee pot, a small cezve, a cup and saucer holding a cigarette, and a round fruit resting on polka-dot fabric. A stenciled number fragment appears at the upper right, as if torn from a packing crate.

Ochre, tan and charcoal dominate a palette broken into overlapping planes and splintered triangles, with crisp white highlights cutting across the wood grain of the guitar. Dry, angular brushwork and hard-edged facets recall synthetic cubism, building a dense, restless surface that keeps the eye moving between recognizable objects and abstract shards.
