About this work
A young boy in a peaked cap and buttoned jacket sits on a low wooden stool, cheeks puffed as he blows through a long clay pipe. Beside him a striped cat sits upright, watching the pipe intently. Around the pair, translucent spheres etched with tiny shells and creatures drift through a starry dark field, while an oversized carp's head looms in from the upper corner.
