Series Man in a museum

A reclining, toga-draped male figure sits with one leg raised and an arm resting on his knee, rendered as if carved from pale stone. To his left, a separate pedestal holds a weathered horse's head, its ear and mane chipped as though broken from a larger relief, both set against a dark, mottled green ground.

Modeled almost entirely in grays and off-whites with heavy black shadow, the figures are built up with visible scratches and dry brushwork that mimic the pitted surface of ancient marble.
