About this work
A dark, boat-like form sits low in the center of the composition, its shape echoed by a rippling reflection in still water below. Streaks of coral red, ochre and green behind it hint at moored vessels or a distant shoreline, everything softened as if seen through fog or rain.
Thin oil is dragged in long vertical strokes, building a feathery, rain-streaked texture over a cool lavender-grey field.
