About this work
Angular scaffolding and crane-like tower structures rise across the composition in pale grey outline, partly obscured by dense black netting and web-like textures that pool into rounded, cloaked forms. Faint patches of red show through the mesh near the upper right and along the base, while the ground plane is broken by scratchy crosshatched marks.
The print is built almost entirely in black, grey, and white, with fine crosshatched netting creating a heavy, textured surface over the flatter architectural lines beneath. Isolated bursts of red puncture the otherwise monochrome field, adding a note of tension. The layered printmaking technique and dense linear texture give the image a brooding, industrial atmosphere.
