About this work
A young man with a furrowed brow and direct, wary gaze fills the frame, wearing a white medical mask stamped with three miniature Orthodox icons and Cyrillic text reading "save and preserve from coronavirus." Flat cyan-blue bars are laid over the image, one crossing his forehead and hairline, others floating against the mottled grey background.
