About this work
Tall palm trees lean over a rocky point on the left, framing a curved bay of pale turquoise water reaching a hazy horizon. Two narrow outrigger boats sit beached on the sand in the foreground, one drawn onto the shore and the other floating just offshore. Scattered rocks break the water near the point, with a small island visible far to the right.
Soft blues and greens dominate under a pale, overcast sky, the palms rendered as dark near-silhouettes against lighter tones. Loose, fluid brushwork suggests gentle water movement and a light coastal breeze, while the beach is built from warm ochre and pink dashes.
