About this work
A dark green riverbank curves along the lower half of the canvas, its grassy slope leading to a cluster of trees and a small house. An enormous, turbulent sky of burning orange, crimson and violet clouds fills most of the composition, painted in loose, dragging strokes that continue into the water below.
