About this work
A woman is shown from the shoulders up, her head turned to one side and her gaze directed away from the viewer, brows drawn and mouth set in a tight, unimpressed line. She wears a red top and a small dangling earring, her dark hair falling loosely past her shoulders.
The face is modeled in warm flesh tones, ochre, pink and touches of green, set against a cooler grey-brown backdrop, with the red of her top the only saturated accent.
