About this work
Ash-grey demonic figures and armored soldiers aim rifles and spears at a coiling, multi-jawed creature covered in yellow scales whose gaping mouths bare rows of teeth. A green tank fires into the melee while a horned wolf-like beast crouches at lower left and stylized red flames and blue smoke fill the gaps between combatants.
The sheet is built from dense pencil and ink hatching left mostly uncolored, with sparse washes of yellow, green, red and blue picking out the monster, tank and fire. The sketchy, overlapping linework and jarring mix of modern weaponry with monstrous anatomy give the scene a frantic, nightmarish energy.
