Dense networks of dashed and hatched ink lines model the face's contours and radiate outward like sound or shock waves, while a faint wash of pink and grey watercolor sits beneath the drawing. The layering of scratchy line work over pale color creates a raw, unsettling intensity centered entirely on the single expressive face.
