About this work
A woman with loose dark hair lies curled asleep on white pillows and sheets inside a four-poster bed hung with pale curtains tied back at the corners. Behind and around the bed, faint overlapping images bleed through the scene - a stone balustrade, urns, trees, and birds in flight - along with a plain chair and a small white ball on the tiled and parquet floor.
