Wild bird

A pheasant-like bird with grey speckled plumage and a bright red patch around its eye stands on a gnarled branch, its long barred tail trailing across a bed of moss and roots. It is framed on one side by clusters of pink blossoms, red berries, and small mushrooms, filling the canvas in a dense, close-up woodland arrangement.

Thickly applied paint builds a mosaic-like texture across the foliage, with muted greens, browns, and dull reds set against near-black shadow.
